Village Evangelism
Village outreach programmes are conducted once in a month with adequate preparation of praying for a particular village and then setting out to the village taking Gospel literature and tracts with us. In the village outreach work, we go out and meet people, and conduct open-air Gospel services with hymn singing and the sharing of our testimonies. We pray for the needs of the people and counsel them on a one-to-one basis. Through this ministry many people have come to know the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people" - Matthew 9:35
We see the need to help encourage and coordinate independent rural pastors who are often left to their own efforts and have little resources in remote villages that are cut off from outside help. JC Home Trust sees it has an important role to play by meeting together from time to time and encouraging these pastors by providing seminars/conferences. The aim is to meet together in a larger town/village and provide speakers to teach, worship together and provide free lunch and refreshments, plus a one-way travel allowance.
In future we would like to provide practical support in other ways such as providing bicycle's or scooters to help pastors reach their village churches that are often in remote places where no public transport is available. Others need financial support while their churches grow and can become self-supporting.
